Many years of my childhood were woven in her stories and when grandma was gone those characters I knew so well, disappeared. She prayed in the early morning hours as I slept peacefully by her side oblivious of the impact her absence would have subsequently. People leave and what remains is the warmth of love shared, that keeps us warm through many cold years.

  1. The most touching pieces of writing come from pouring one’s heart out… this is one such piece. Reminds of me of my grandma and wish I had shared such moments with her. Now she ‘s too far away. Miss you Nani.
